♥♥This is my awesome teacher Miss D she is the best teacher in the whole wide world....♥♥

She is a very kind and lovely teacher and very bubbly and full of surprises.

She trained to be a scientist but ended that job became a teacher.
she has been a teacher here at Kaitao middle school for 3 years so far, and this is
my second year at kaitao with her and Ive really enjoyed being in her class. Every day Miss is full of surprises. Miss D is in Solomon house and every house competition like once i remembered when we had the wacky hair day she came to school with alot of orange things in her hair it was very wacky, and it looked like it was on fire it was very hot. She is so thought full of us room 3 children, one time i remember when she had to leave us and was going over to Australia and was on the we Easter weekend, all of room 3 came in and found a special surprise on our desk it was little chocolate marshmallow egg and this cool book we were all so happy.

Stage Challenge...

This year I participated in the 2009 Stage Challenge. We performed at the Convention Center it was a blast and I had so much fun. There were 3 Primary Schools 1 Middle School, which was us, and 1 High School. I met lots of new people and made lots of new friends.

Our performance was about different people coming together as one.We had a girls Hip Hop group, Boys Hip Hop group a jazz and poi group it was great. The performance first started off with the boys doing there dance and thinking this is how its supposed to be but then,the jazz group came on stage and kicked the boys of then the jazz girls started doing there dance, then all of a sudden, the hip hop girls came on and said well actually this is how we prefer it, But no said the poi girls as they came on stage why don't we all just be one, and so that's how it ended. We all had a dance for each group and then at the end we all got together and did one big dance. I had so much fun. I was a bit nervous at first but got over it, and just thought to my self just have fun, which i did. We stayed till prize giving we were awarded with 6 awards, i was so proud of everyone.

Marae Trip

This some photos that the Accelerate Academy went on for our Marae trip.

When we arrived we were welcomed on to the Marae by a lady doing a Karanga it was very fascinating and she had a very neat voice. We were invited inside were it was warm and cosy. The was a man called the Kaumatua who done a little speech in Maori. Inside was very amazing because there were very neat carvings that some people had done inside the Marae. While we were inside the Kaumatua was talking about the Ancestors of the Marae and how the Marae was built.Inside the Marae it was cool because he told us one side of the Marae represented the past and the other side represented the future.After that all had finished we all went out side for a quick nibble and a snack the we were off to Te Puia...

I was so excited to be going to Te Puia because i had never been there before. We were all split up into our class room groups and we given a guide to tour us around Te Puia, our guides name was Weronika she was very kind. I had so much fun at Te Puia and i learnt lots of cool things. It was so cool we got to see the bubbling hot Mud Pools and steamy Geysers.Another we got to see was this man that was carving on a big large piece of wood it was amazing to see all the patterns that he was doing. I had such a blast at the Marae and Te Puia and learnt lots of interesting things, it was a great experience.

New Caledonia

New Caledonia....

Me and Shonny and other 28 Accelerate have recently been fundraising for a trip that us students will be going to at the end of the year in term 4 which is New Caledonia! We have been fundraising alot, like we done at car wash down at Super Cheap Auto.We started in the morning it was freezing.The Group fundraised round about $505 dollars, which was great.While we were doing the car washing we had a sausage sizzle going as well which made a good profit.We have also done a french cafe were we bring homemade cakes and other things from home and sell them which was cool. I am really excited to be going to New Caledonia and i so cant wait.

Iron Kids!

We meet at school early in the morning getting ready to leave to Taupo for the Iron kids Triathlon. We put the bikes on the bike rack and jump into the car, were off! I'm so.. Excited and cant wait.while we were off to Taupo we watch wild child a movie on the portable DVD player.
We finally arrive Wohoo! we grab the bikes and or gear and head down to the station to register.
We got a bag with lots of cool freebies in it like a swimming cap some lollies and vouchers.First we start off with the swim the waters freezing. We have to swim 200m, i get out of the water and my legs feel like jelly.I run to my bike get ready chuck my shoes on and other gears I'm riding away in lala land and then i finally realize wheres Arihia oops. So i slowed down abit until she caught up to me. Then we carry away with the bike ride. It was so funny me and arihia were trying to race the cars that were going by.When we had officially finished the bike ride next comes the run ohhhh. the run wasn't that long. there it is the finish line YAAY! Finally my legs feel dead. At the end we were rewarded with a chocolate bar a medal and a certificate. i feel so proud i had finally finished and now i can go home. But i had a really fun day!

And also made it in to the Rotorua Rep Netball team
which is my 3rd time in a row and was also chosen as the captain.

There once was an old lady who once was mum
to a son who left to hold a gun
bombs and shrapnel killed many more

We have recently been fundraising for a trip to New Caledonia.
its been really great we've done car washes french cafes and a few BBQ.

In class we have recently learning how to do poems like Haiku and
cinqains.
